A neo-noir novel set in Oakland, circa 2013-14.

The story follows Pug, a down-on-his-luck gig economy worker, as he stumbles and bumbles through gentrifying Oakland's bougie cafes, dive-bars-turned-cocktail-joints, and its ever-expanding homeless encampments as he tries to find an old, lost friend. 

Along the way, our hero Pug stumbles across a housing conspiracy that goes all the way to the top.
